Mission Statement
The goal of this agency is to change those conditions which either directly or
indirectly poses significant barriers to older adults, their caregivers, and persons
with disabilities who desire to live independently in the community and
participate in a full, meaningful way in community life.
Organization Goals:
Provide a network of services to meet the needs of the older adults, their caregivers, and persons with disabilities
in the counties of Clay, Effingham, Fayette, Jefferson and Marion.
Purposes:
To improve the quality of life for the older adults, their caregivers, and persons with disabilities in the counties of Clay, Effingham, Fayette, Jefferson, and Marion.
Serve as a medium through which input from the counties served may be accepted to ensure the maximum benefit from Federal and State grants within applicable rules and regulations governing those grants.
To advocate for the older adults, their caregivers, and persons with disabilities and promote public awareness of the challenges that each of these populations face.
Identify the needs of the older adults, their caregivers, and persons with disabilities and develop programs to the maximum extent possible to meet those needs using available resources to the maximum benefit of the entire Planning and Service Area.
To develop resources where none exist or resources are inadequate to meet the needs of older adults, their caregivers and persons with disabilities.
