Today we held the State plan on Aging Group Session. What a great turn out for Planning and Service Areas 09, 10, and 11. Thank you Stefanie Eisele and Joe Danner from the Illinois Department on Aging Shana Holmes Southeastern Illinois Agency on Aging, Inc. , Becky Salazar Egyptian Area Agency on Aging, Inc. August 29 Nancy Hinton and Judy Kleine completed Dementia Friends training with the Dementia Friendly Task Force in Vandalia. Hope Vandalia will be our next community on the Dementia Friendly Community Registry. This group was awesome and are helping us plan our Fayette County Conversation/Health Fair this fall. Good things are happening in Fayette County!

The Illinois Department on Aging will be in Mt. Vernon on September 6th to discuss the State Plan on Aging. Midland Area Agency on Aging along with Southeastern Illinois Agency on Aging, Inc. And Egyptian Area Agency on Aging, Inc. Will be there too. This is a great opportunity to come hear about the future and share your ideas.
